the tamming of the sherw

When comparing the poems and the play both show strong feelings from women. In the taming of the shrew it is clear Kathrine can not be dominated in a very male society. In the first scene when we first see her speak it is not a lot this could suggest it is very male dominated. In the taming of kath is clearly someone who no one wants to marry and she does not want to marry. She is referd to as being married to hell and the devil. And to the possible husband she calls a fool. In the poems by Plath, the poem applicant is done in the form of an interveiw. First with a question to find out about the person. There is no responce this could show that there is only one possible answer. Then in the poem Daddy she uses the emotion of losing a loved one but turns it round to make him look like a bad person. For example calling him a vampire who has been stacked. She also then try’s to replace him by marrying a man who looks like him this could show how much she wants to be back with him.
